I’m Kevin O’Shea, the Scout Executive of the Greenwich Council Scouting America in Greenwich, Connecticut. With over 29 years of experience, I have a proven track record in areas such as fundraising, endowment and capital improvement, membership growth, staff empowerment and program management. I grew up in Beverly, Massachusetts, and received my Bachelor of Arts Degree in May 1993 from Plymouth State College in Plymouth, New Hampshire. My journey in Scouting began as a Cub Scout in Beverly, Massachusetts and has since led me to a fulfilling career spanning multiple Councils across the United States including Daniel Webster Council, South Florida Council, Gulf Stream Council, Theodore Roosevelt Council and now the Greenwich Council.
In 2006, I had the honor of participating in Woodbadge SR 743 (Antelope), an experience that solidified my passion for Scouting and the communities we serve. Throughout my career, I’ve seen the profound impact of Scouting on both youth and volunteers and I’m committed to ensuring its vitality for years to come.
Beyond my professional life, I deeply value the time I spend with family, and I am grateful for the friendships formed through Scouting. I’m an outdoor enthusiast – enjoy golfing, trout fishing, hiking, boating and spending time with friends by the firepit. I also own a home in the Chattahoochee National Forest in Suches, Georgia, which is a place of peace and connection to nature.
Thank you for visiting, and for your dedication to Scouting. Your support makes a lasting difference in the lives of youth and volunteers across the nation.
